Dr Ross Farhadieh is the immediate past and current chief editor of two major comprehensive plastic surgery textbooks used around the World by training and practicing plastic surgeons.
Plastic Surgery: Principles & Practice (Elsevier, UK, 2021) is a newly published, internationally hailed and critically acclaimed reference textbook of plastic surgery. It brings 130 of the World’s leading plastic surgery authorities together (Click here to see contributors and content).
This textbook follows on the success and recognition of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery: Approaches & Techniques (Wiley & Blackwell, UK, 2015). Dr Ross Farhadieh was appointed the Chief Editor and main architect of this project back in 2012. It was, in part, an acknowledgement of his training, academic achievements and international standing as a Plastic Surgeon. His own contributions have included topics on cosmetic as well as reconstructive surgery of the face, and breast cosmetic surgery. This feat was testimony to the hard work and commitment of all the contributors to their field.
Here is what some of the world’s most renowned plastic surgeons have had to say about this compendium in their reviews of the work:
“The editors are all highly qualified and accomplished young plastic surgeons, and they have been able to provide a global perspective of our specialty. Many of the contributors are internationally leading experts; however, there is also a new generation of young rising stars whose contributions are equally good, providing a new, fresh and contemporary feel.”
Professor Julian J. Pribaz Plastic Surgeon Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA
“I think this is a great book. It is packed with good and up to date information, and I think it will be an invaluable resource for trainees but also for all plastic surgeons. The editors are to be congratulated on achieving a very difficult task with such success.”
Professor Peter Neligan, Plastic Surgeon, Chief Editor of Plastic Surgery, University of Washington, USA, Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Journal
“In general the authors have provided us with a marvellous book… The authors here have concentrated all this useful information into their chapters in a quite outstanding manner. Any plastic surgeon of whatever maturity will find this an excellent purchase which he/she will have no reason to regret.”
Mr Douglas H. Harrison Plastic Surgeon London, United Kingdom, Journal of Plastic Aesthetic, Reconstructive Surgery
“Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Approaches and Techniques is a wonderful resource for trainees and junior faculty who need a thorough but clear review of the wide spectrum of issues encountered in plastic surgery. The chapters provide a concise review of the relevant anatomy, pathophysiology, and available surgical options for each topic.”
