It’s now been one month since Panthea Clinics Sydney moved to St Leonards in Sydney’s North Shore. We met owner and highly accomplished plastic surgeon Dr Ross Farhadieh to learn more about the Sydney cosmetic and plastic surgery clinic.
Dr Farhadieh, is Panthea Clinics Sydney in any way different to your practice in Canberra?
We opened both our Canberra and Sydney cosmetic and plastic surgery clinics in 2013. However, our original NSW clinic was located in Darling Point.
The only difference between ACT and Sydney is the location. My patients here can be assured that I am their plastic surgeon in Sydney. As a result, they have peace of mind with my triple board certification; they can anticipate the same outstanding world-class results one expects from a surgeon with my academic accomplishments and experience.
Our patients can also rely on my exceptional support team, whose empathy for those in their care is truly outstanding. This is a specialist field of medicine, and patients very rightly must be exacting. They want the best plastic surgeon in Sydney, but they also want the best pre and post-surgery care, not to mention state-of-the-art facilities.

So your plastic surgery Sydney services are no different to those in the ACT?
That’s right. Medicine has a universal flavour, not a local one. A breast augmentation, nose job or facelift in Sydney are as popular here as in any other Australian or world city. We cannot say that rhinoplasty in Sydney or a tummy tuck in Sydney is more or less common here than elsewhere. Mothers are often eager to return to their pre-baby figures no matter where they live. Geography does not decide if someone is keen to undergo nose surgery because they just don’t feel comfortable in their present features.
Have you observed any particular plastic surgery trends of late?
Age can influence the type of procedure patients would like. For instance, Mummy Makeovers are very popular. This includes tummy tuck surgery or a reduction or change in breast shape. In contrast, younger women tend to opt for breast implant surgery or perhaps a rhinoplasty procedure. Older age groups are more interested in facelift procedures.
What differentiates Panthea Clinics from any other Sydney cosmetic and plastic surgery clinic?
We’ve already touched on my triple board certification and my team’s total commitment to patient welfare and well-being. Our patients know I am an internationally recognised plastic and cosmetic surgery authority. I am the only Australian surgeon to be twice appointed Chief Editor of our standard reference textbook.
By their very nature, plastic surgery outcomes are visual. As such, patients want to be certain that they’re not just consulting with a Dr – they are consulting with one of the most accomplished leaders in his field. I would certainly want that reassurance if I were one of my patients.
